Senior IT Project Manager - Hybrid (Finance)
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects that leverage a mix of off-the-shelf applications and proprietary software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical project management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The position will utilize a mixture of Waterfall and Agile project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope, while adhering to high quality standards and customer expectations. The Senior Project Manager must possess advanced knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies, tools, techniques, resource management practices, budget management and tracking, and change management techniques at both the sub-portfolio and project level. This position may require the management, mentoring and coaching of other project managers. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for continuous management and strategic planning for the sub-portfolio they are assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business and technical product managers, vendors, and business stakeholders to plan, execute, and manage technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, scope, budget, and timelines.
• Understand the integration and customization of off-the-shelf applications and proprietary software.
• Work closely with technical teams to identify potential challenges and recommend solutions to ensure seamless software deployment and operation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, delivering clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels.
• Create project plan, resources plan and budget for the assigned project.
• Schedule and facilitate regular status meetings, progress reports, and post-project evaluations.
• Work with business leaders to identify business needs and develop those needs into project requests.
• Adhere to project intake and approval processes prior to resource allocation, scheduling commitments and project kick-off.
• Identify and manage business requirements, deliverables, resource needs, change requests, project plans, project risks, and project closure and transition.
• Direct and monitor project work efforts daily.
• Track project progress and distribute regular status reports to applicable stakeholders.
• Manage and escalate functional, quality, timeline, and all other project issues.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and enforce best practices for project management, including risk management, quality assurance, and change control processes.
• Manage dependencies, resolve conflicts, and ensure projects remain on track.
• Collaborate with external vendors and third-party providers to manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee deliverables related to off-the-shelf applications.
• Assist IT Department with annual Strategic Planning and Budget activities, documentation and meetings.
• Manage, train, and coach project managers to help strengthen skills and deepen understanding of the business and relevant industry.
• Continually assess and improve project management methodology and practices.
• Ensure all internal controls and policies are adhered to for projects and systems change management.
• Limited travel

Qualifications
Education/Training:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and education through certifications, PDUs or other training.
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 5-10 years with managing multi-faceted projects
• Minimum 3-5 years directly managing other project man
• Working with external customers and outside vendors
• Leading internal and external resources, including Business Area Management and IT Resources
• Proficient in leading Technology implementations
• Project management/planning software
• Proficient in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodology
• Advanced ability to analyze, design, and document processes
• Highly Proficient in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects
• Highly proficient in working in a projects-based, team environment
• Highly Proficient in leveraging the competencies of project team and stakeholders to enhance project results

Preferred:
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience with Jira
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience with projects involving proprietary software solutions
