POSITION SUMMARY
The unique value the Manager of Technical Sales brings to Fading West is the integration of sales and technical expertise, such as client relations, project management, architecture, land planning, development, and modular product specifications. This individual will be our customer facing technical expert and will educate clients on modular construction and Fading West while shepherding them through the sales and development process.
Responsibilities
Understand client goals and determine If and how Fading West can best serve them.
Create vision for attainable developments using Fading West standard product line and communicate that vision to external developers with a focus on the technical aspects of projects.
Work with company and factory leadership on ensuring a full manufacturing pipeline to accomplish cohesive and efficient output.
Clearly articulate our product and service offerings and why they are the best choice for the client and home buyer.
Develop, present, and respond to client requests and requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest industry developments.
Assist in vetting appropriate clients and developments and sourcing ideal clients.
Facilitate developers creating an optimized site plan and unit mix that accepts the Fading West standard product line.
Prepare and present land plans, floorplans, elevations, and renderings or other marketing material to inform potential clients about product pricing, availability, and advantages.
Assist in developing marketing plans or strategies for sales presentations and client informational content.
Collect client feedback and project data for communication and collaboration with engineering and architecture departments to support the design innovation of Fading West product lines.
Maintain a sense of urgency during the initial client inquiry and contact stage to provide all required information accurately and in a timely manner to ensure we reach signed sales agreements efficiently.
Provide tours of the factory explaining the benefits of modular and the Fading West standard product line as part of the sales process.
Attend conferences and other industry events and participate in presentations on the benefits of modular and Fading West.
Use LEAN principles to establish, track, and improve sales processes, documentation, and reportable KPIs.
Project management, organization, and client management within all phases of the sales pipeline.
Qualifications
5+ years relevant equivalent experience in Land Planning or Architecture.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or other relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge of real estate development, zoning, and IRC/IBC code requirements.
Experience in client/sales management.
Ability to work independently and proactively drive new initiatives.
Revit Experience preferred.
Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic start up environment.
Ability to travel (up to 40%).
Public speaking experience preferred.
