Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, Pediatric CV- Anesthesiology, McGovern Medical School (Finance)

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston , a leading academic health center, is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track for all academic levels for Pediatric CV Anesthesiology within the Department of Anesthesiology. Our Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologists collaborate with the Children's Heart Program at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital (CMHH) located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, Houston. We play a central role in coordinating a best practice, team-based approach to achieve successful perioperative outcomes in children undergoing cardiac and non-cardiac surgeries. The Heart Program caters to a wide array of congenital heart conditions and receives referrals from 1) the Fetal Center at CMHH. 2) UT-affiliated clinics from the Greater Houston Area. 3) Neonatal ICUs located at Children's Memorial Hermann, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, UTMB Galveston, and other regional hospitals.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching residents and medical students the skills and theory of this specialty and clinical activities in the operating rooms

Qualifications:

Candidates must hold an M.D. degree or equivalent. Successfully completed a Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship in an ACGME-accredited program with additional training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology and must be ABA board certified. Applicants resume and references must reflect current clinical competence by independently taking care of children with congenital heart disease within the last 12 months.
