Position Summary:
The Tapia Center for Excellence and Equity in Education has an open Program Administrator position. This position will support all aspects of the planning, delivery, and wrap-up of Tapia Camps and other Tapia Center programming. This includes creating and managing communications with clients of the Center, developing and distributing promotional materials, managing digital and physical files, and ensuring program protocols are followed.
Ideal Candidate Statement:
An ideal candidate for this position has experience working at the Tapia Camps in the capacities of camp counselor, instructor, or program assistant. The position of Program Associate requires someone who can speak directly to potential clients about all aspects of the summer camp experience at Tapia Camps. A strong candidate has (1) excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing; (2) excellent organizational skills, both in digital and physical spaces; (3) and excellent stress management skills, as Tapia Camps and other Tapia Center programs often involve significant programmatic changes in response to the needs of participants.
Workplace Requirements :
This position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. Thirty hours per week should be completed during standard business hours in the office. The remaining ten hours can be completed remotely. The exact in-office hours will be jointly agreed upon with the position's manager on a semester-by-semester basis. Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: $18.89-$22.69
*Non-Exempt (hourly) positions under FLSA are eligible for overtime.
