Forklift Driver (Transportation)

ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
As a Forklift Driver at Locke Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to safely operate forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials, ensuring that our products are handled with care and precision. You will also support various warehouse operations, contributing to the overall productivity and success of our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Handling:

Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload heavy materials and products within the warehouse and manufacturing plant.
Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.
Ensure the accurate placement of materials and products in designated storage locations.

Inventory Management:

Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory in the warehouse.
Perform regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.

Safety and Maintenance:

Conduct daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating forklifts and handling materials.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Support Operations:

Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks as needed.
Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to support efficient workflow and meet production schedules.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that materials are stored safely and efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures for operating forklifts and handling materials.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
