Financial Analyst II (Finance)
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Track and analyze revenue, costs, margins, and profitability, focusing on material costs, pricing fluctuations, and operational efficiency.
Provide detailed financial reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key trends in market conditions and material prices.
Analyze transportation cost and efficiency, including route optimization, average weight per truck, internal vs external carries, and fleet management.
Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual performance, providing actionable insights for cost-saving initiatives and revenue growth.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to processing, inventory management, and recycling yield to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Develop and maintain models to forecast metal prices, recycling volumes, operational costs, and other factors influencing profitability.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with operational, sales, and supply chain teams to develop financial strategies that improve business performance.
Communicate financial insights and recommendations to business leaders, ensuring clear understanding of complex financial data.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional certification (CFA, CPA, or CMA) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within the manufacturing, recycling, transportation, or commodities industries.
Skills:
Strong financial modeling, analysis, and reporting skills.
Proficient in Excel and financial management software
Solid understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data to various stakeholders.
