This position assists with the execution of strategic and regulatory water programs focused on environmental compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to Environmental Protection. This position also assists with stormwater compliance services related to Publix development, redevelopment and acquisition of stores. To accomplish this, the Environmental Analyst will work independently and under direction of management to achieve goals by which the integrity of our company will be evaluated by our customers, peers, and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities:
assisting with water regulatory programs (e.g., surface waters, groundwater, wetlands, conservation area, water use, and Stormwater No Exposure) for Retail, Distribution, Manufacturing, Fleet, and other Support Operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and rules
Setting up acquisition inspections for stores that Publix may acquire.
Interpreting the results of those inspection with leadership to make recommendations to appropriate business areas.
High School diploma or its equivalent
1 year support of environmental programs in a corporate or consulting environment
Ability to effectively manage workload, including organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format
Analytical skills
Follow through skills
Ability to be accurate and detail oriented
Ability to be exposed to and handle highly confidential information
Knowledge of structured writing
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, or an analytical related field from an accredited university
2 years support of environmental programs in a corporate or consulting environment
General knowledge of all Publix operations, including retail, manufacturing, warehousing and support
Knowledge of Publix organizational and corporate structure
Knowledge of Publix policies including code of ethics, philosophy, mission and vision
Knowledge of various industrial hygiene and hazardous materials programs
General knowledge of government agencies and how permitting programs
Advanced skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
