Java Full Stack Engineer (Finance)
You will be responsible for designing and developing new components of the ClaimSearch product as well as enhancing existing features. You will develop for our full cloud environment across very large data sets and gain experience on a diverse set of technology tools with exposure to backend data processing, large entity resolution algorithms, data matching, search, APIs, integrations and front-end development. Our headquarters are in Jersey City, New Jersey, but the Anti-Fraud Analytics team is spread across several states and even other countries.
• Design and build high-performance, scalable, and reliable component-based applications using the latest technologies such as AWS, Docker, Elasticsearch, etc.
• Design clear and concise REST service interfaces with corresponding documentation
• Work directly with engineering teams, product owners, QA and UX
• Write unit tests in a TDD (Test Driven Design) manner to ensure code quality
• Write integration tests based on defined acceptance criteria and in conjunction with QA
• Develop new applications as well as enhance and support existing applications
• Ensure that secure coding practices are followed throughout the software life cycle
• Learn from senior team members regarding proper application design and security
• Participate in planning meetings, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and other meetings as part of the software development process
• Experiment with new technologies and provide recommendations for product improvement• Fluent in Java, SQL, XML, JSON
• Experience with Spring, AWS, Docker, Angular, and ElasticSearch a plus
• Understanding and exposure to creating and consuming RESTful services
• Working knowledge of software development tools
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and Agile processes
• Familiarity with continuous integration concepts and processes
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) from a four-year college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• 0-2 years of experience or similar ability in software development
