Civil Engineering Intern (Finance)

Tetra Tech is adding a Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op for our Global Services Design Team in our Marlborough, Massachusetts office. We are flexible with start and end dates.

We specialize in facility and utility planning, design, and construction services throughout the project lifecycle. One of our key clients is the U.S. Department of Defense. Our projects range from full design and construction support for military base expansions and improvements to critical infrastructure such as airfield pavements, roadways, water and wastewater systems, and power and communications networks, as well as headquarters, operations, housing, warehouses, and other mission support facilities.

Your Role:
- Assist in editing and reviewing construction plans and specifications
- Support the development and revision of civil design plans, including site layout, grading, utility layout, and civil details
- Perform minor design tasks, such as conducting drainage analyses, and performing spreadsheet-based calculations
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to complete assigned tasks
- Follow company and regulatory health and safety protocols at all times, and report any incidents or concerns
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, with coursework focused on civil engineering
- T echnical Skills: Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D or similar program preferred
- Time Management: Ability to meet project deadlines
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, with the ability to create, edit, and manage documents and spreadsheets
- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team Collaboration : Enthusiasm for contributing to team projects
- Additional Requirements: Due to the clients we serve, this position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Residence Card. Must be able to pass background screening including criminal history, credit check etc.
Additional Information:
The salary range for this position is $18 to $21 per hour.
