Clinical Fulfillment Pharmacist - Portland, OR
The Clinical Fulfillment Pharmacist verifies the work of pharmacy technicians and ensures the accuracy of all orders fulfilled by the Vetsource Home Delivery Pharmacy - verification of prescription orders being shipped in the pharmacy order fulfillment system.
We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at our location in Portland, OR. This position requires an average of 20-30 hours per week during our operating hours of Monday through Friday from 5:45 am - 5:00 pm PT. Must have reliable transportation and flexibility with scheduling to be open to a changing schedule, including occasional weekends, depending on business needs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Duties may be weighted differently in one or more areas
Final Order Verification
Verify the accuracy and validity of medications packaged in compliance packaging
Verify the work of pharmacy technicians and interns, including the accuracy of orders being shipped to pet owners (product scan and label review)
Oversee the dispensing activities of pharmacy technicians as required by law
Other projects related to assisting first verification team (V1) may be assigned, including but not limited to:
Basic electronic prescription verification
Verbal telephone orders
Order clarifications
WHAT YOU BRING
B.S. or PharmD in Pharmacy and current pharmacist license in Oregon in good standing
At least 1 year working as a licensed pharmacist
Maintains accuracy, efficiency in a highly repetitive, fast paced environment
Highly adaptable with a strong desire to learn and develop new processes and technologies
Problem-solving skills: ability to adapt, collaborate, and self-direct in response to changing needs and deadlines
Must be comfortable guiding the work and development of technicians and interns
Should identify strongly with our company values and mission
Maintains a positive, supportive, and professional demeanor with clinics, pet owners, and coworkers
Experience working in a high volume dispensing environment, preferred
Knowledge of veterinary pharmacy, preferred
Experience in mail-order pharmacy, preferred
Experience working with automation in a pharmacy setting, preferred
Knowledge of company's workflow, preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for the dispensing activities of pharmacy technicians as required by law
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to sit or stand and perform work involving a high level of physicality; checking orders involving repetitive use of arms and wrist/hands for up to 8 hours per day
Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
Occasionally stooping, lifting and/or bending
Occasionally reaching overhead and using a step ladder

Pay range (US based applicants): $60.00 - $62.00 / per hour
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
