Linde is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to join our team located in Houston, TX. The Branch Operations Manager will be responsible for profitability and growth of the business, overseeing sales, distribution, and operations as well as staff functions. Responsibilities • Accountable for performance and profit and loss results of branches • Manages managers who exercise significant latitude and independence • Ensures efficient management of staff schedule and operations • Involved in establishing and updating processes and procedures to ensure staff performs job duties in compliance with Safety, SOX and other applicable government regulations • Oversees the process of setting inventory level targets to meet customer and sales expectations • Plans for future needs and monitors production/manpower levels to ensure continued efficiency • Reviews plant/ branch/ area/ product reports and provides executive management with analysis and recommendations for business improvements based on such analysis • Performs customer site visits and handle issues that are high impact and/or are elevated for resolution • Ensures alignment of area's priorities with broader organizational initiatives • Sets culture and tone for area of responsibility • Involved in setting organization's timelines and business objectives • Interacts frequently with internal and external management concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling, etc. • Other duties as assigned • Bachelor's Degree preferred • 10 years of experience in the industrial gas industry or related managerial experience • Ability to function independently and make logical, rational decisions in a wide variety of situations • Ability to communicate well with customers, employees, and management. Must possess excellent written and verbal skills • To become proficient in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, AS400, and CU • Possess in-depth knowledge of cylinder gases and processes of each • Strong organization skills • Must be knowledgeable in all regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, FDA, DOT, LCU, OSHA, and EP • No DUI/DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2023 sales of $33 billion.
