Tree ground worker (Finance)
Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are running properly, clean and neat.
Assist with daily vehicle inspection.
Secure work site for traffic and pedestrian control with proper use of signage, cones, barricades, caution tape and monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic for safety around work site.
Prepare tools needed for job such as; fuel chainsaws, rakes, shovels and blowers.
Install lowering devices and bull ropes when applicable.
Rope handling such as; clearing climbers lines and handling lowering rope.
Prepare brush piles and logs for chipping or loading.
Buck up brush and logs with chainsaws.
Operate heavy equipment to handle large debris.
Chip brush, load logs and grind tree stumps.
Prune small trees from the ground.
Hedge shrubs from the ground.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather and many different types of conditions such as; dusty, hot, muddy, level properties, and steep hillside properties.
Equipment Used: Chainsaw, power pole saw, gas hedger, blower, chipper, stump grinder.
Work Hours: Hours will vary, depending on project
