Overview

The Customer Service Representative verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Interacts with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. Additionally, this position is responsible for supporting current waste fuels customers and provides technical service to existing accounts. This position s upports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies.
• Be an ambassador for the facility, both internally and externally, defining and promoting the facility's position, image and character.
• Scale shipments in and out; directing drivers to appropriate offloading area.
• Enter manifest data into Waste Fuels Management System (WFMS).
• Verify shipment contents with production, to ensure manifest for loads are correct.
• Sign & Maintain manifest(s) and appropriate documents for each shipment.
• Monitor and Sign manifests in EPA's e-manifest system.
• Provide assistance to the customer for completing all required paperwork, Ex Profile Form, Manifest.
• Assist with schedule of material for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Resolve customer service or billing issues.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, waste codes, container count, and other discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or record keeping purposes.
• Maintain good relationships with customers through regular and continuous contact.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to the customers.
• Assist in collections of outstanding balances of delinquent accounts.
• Stay informed with Federal and State regulations applicable to waste fuels and waste disposal.
• Other duties may be required and will be assigned as necessary.

Ability, Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Overtime may be occasionally required.
• Must have a high level of integrity and commitment to comply with all applicable federal / state / industry compliance, record keeping, regulations and standards.
• Strong Interpersonal capabilities with ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, while building rapport with customers and team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with accurate data entry skills.
• Change Management: Outside the box thinker, with the ability to analyze current challenges, and implement change as needed.
• Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
• Coordination: Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
• Monitoring: Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
• Social Perceptiveness: Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
