Performs treatment planning activities including computerized dosimetry for radiotherapy patients (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric), treatment device fabrication (molds, blocks, compensators, etc) and simulation. Provides basic patient care to patients when performing procedures and treatments. This hybrid position offers a four day work weeks with time in clinic and working remotely.YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
1 - 2 Years equivalent experience preferred
Willing to certify, license or recent new graduate within 12 months
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required
LICENSE & CERTIFICATION:
Be a graduate of a Medical Dosimetry JRCERT 12 month or longer accredited program.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge and understanding of 2D, 3D, IMRT, brachytherapy (including LDR and HDR) treatment planning.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In conjunction with the Radiation Oncologist, the dosimetrist supervises port set-up, localization of tumor, prepares contours, and produces treatment plans by computerized treatment planning systems.
