What you will do
In PGIM Fixed Income, the Data Integrity Group is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of indicative data and analytical values for fixed income securities to ensure a first-class risk management process. The role requires expertise in the different product types within the fixed income market, including Government Securities, Mortgage-Backed Securities, Investment Grade Corporate Bonds, High Yield Corporate Bonds, Emerging Market Debt, Quasi-Sovereign Bonds, Global Securities, Structured Products, CLOs, Bank Loans, Derivatives, Municipal Securities, and Money Market Instruments.
The ideal candidate for this role ensures the risks of all new securities are properly modeled and understood and interacts closely with portfolio analysts and other stakeholders to troubleshoot data or risk issues that arise. The position contributes as part of a team that will often consist of many levels of the Firm. Frequent interaction with other Operations teams, Portfolio Managers and Traders, Investment Risk Management, Quantitative Modelers, Portfolio Analysts, Credit Research Analysts, the Technology Solutions Group, Portfolio Administration, Performance Reporting, Compliance, and Client Reporting is customary.
This position is performed in a hybrid manner with a mix of work performed from our office in Newark, NJ and remotely. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees meet with their team in the office on set days of the week and can work remotely the remainder of the week. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration and may be required during group specific events (Town Halls, etc.).
What you can expect
Responsible for managing Data Integrity Group staff, including playing a key role in recruitment efforts; the role requires active involvement in the day-to-day functions and responsibilities of junior analysts and having an integral role in their career development, providing staff with feedback and coaching on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate work performed within the function, including allocating resources to ensure work is completed accurately and timely; continuously evaluate existing data controls; create and implement new controls that increase data integrity.
Ensure that Data Governance related activities are prioritized appropriately, and all deadlines are met; ensure data quality metrics are accurately recorded, actively monitored, and data issues are remediated on an ongoing basis.
Responsible for the management of Aladdin issue resolution and new data and enhancement requests with the Blackrock Solutions team.
Explore the application of artificial intelligence to security data modeling, data quality rule creation, and data issue identification.
Responsible for project implementation, multiple one-time Operations or Technology-related projects, in addition to supporting a production environment, including documenting business requirements, allocation and coordination of resources, staff training, development of innovative solutions, and project implementation.
Interface with external entities, including vendors, consultants, and clients, which will require business/technical expertise, and with internal technology teams and business partners to discuss requirements and set priorities.
Supervise audits of the data integrity function and processes, serving a liaison with internal and external auditors, regulatory agencies, and consultants, regarding audit scope, planning and implementation.
Establish and ensures compliance with policies and procedures for activities within the group, including specific knowledge of controls required for SOC-1 certification and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Provide guidance and technical assistance to staff members when requested.

What you will bring
5-7+ years of fixed income experience, with proven knowledge of a product area and its processes
Bachelor's Degree.
Strong ability to independently identify and solve problems that arise using innovative and creative thinking.
High attention to detail
Understands complex data structures and the implication of processes on other groups and downstream systems.
Works well as part of a team
Enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
Possesses excellent communication skills
Possesses analytical, and technical skills. Microsoft Excel skills are required. Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is strongly preferred.
Programing skills of Visual Basics and SQL is a plus.
Experience working with one or more of the following platforms Blackrock Aladdin or Bloomberg
Has a passion for financial markets, products, and the investment management process

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $135,000 to $170,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
