Sports Coordinator (Creative Design)
Assist the Regional Sports Director in developing and maintaining safe and clean program facilities
Assist Regional Sports Director in the recruiting, training and supervision of staff and volunteers needed to run successful, quality youth and adult sports programs
Take lead role in the recruiting, training and supervising of staff and volunteers needed to run successful, quality special needs programs
Assist the Regional Sports Director and Program Director in the formation of teams, and leagues for sports programming. Includes contacting/responding to volunteers/program participants via e-mail, phone, or in person in a timely manner.
Assist in the recruiting of program participants through communication and marketing efforts.
Assist in the evaluation of program effectiveness.
Perform random quality checks of programs and events as needed.
Effectively communicate and market new and current programs to members and prospective members in a courteous and professional manner
Assist in the on-site/off-site supervision of programs/activities.
Assist and coordinate field layout and maintenance.
Assist in the supervision of 100+ volunteers and 6-8 part-time staff.
Qualifications:
This position requires strong organizational, communication, interpersonal relation skills and an ability to work independently at times without direct supervision. Knowledge of youth development as well as sports and recreation is a must. A desire to help and work with youth and adults is necessary. A basic knowledge in kinesiology, sports or recreation management, event planning and program development is vital.
Education/Experience
· College Education preferred
· Minimum of 2 years experience working with youth, teens and/or families
· Preferred experience in officiating adult sports leagues, specifically basketball.

Must be able to operate standard software programs and have the ability to learn and effectively navigate technology solutions such as PlayerSpace, Daxko and other programs as required.
