The Senior Project Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting Project Managers in managing various activities at multiple project sites with a minimum of 3 projects of $10MM plus at one time.
Ensuring that the projects are executed to project work plans and suggesting revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and engineering requirements associated with plant and facilities projects.
Working with Project Managers to manage the day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scopes. Effectively applying methodology and enforcing project standards.
Assisting Project Managers with analyzing and managing project risks to minimize financial exposure.
Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Coordinating in house and external resources to ensure fully executed project responsibilities.
Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial, Operations, Technical Services, Land, Right-of-Way, and Strategic Sourcing while assisting the Project Managers directing third party contractors to safely conduct projects.
Staying current with regulations, industry standards, and other applicable technologies.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in the engineering industry is required.
The ability to assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling cost control, and contract administration is required.
Broad spectrum of capital projects experience is preferred.
Experience working in a detailed engineering and design role with solid upward movement into Project Management is preferred.
Strong communication skills are required to ensure all project stakeholders and participants are informed and functioning with the goal of meeting and exceeding project execution plans.
The ability to travel 25% of the time is required.
