Senior Calibration Maintenance Specialist 2 (Biotech)

Job Summary:
A Senior Calibration Maintenance Specialist will safely complete monthly planned and demand maintenance tasks per assign cGMP procedures. This role is designed to ensure instrumentation maintains required specifications and reliability levels. This requires multiple skill sets based on electrical theory, instrumentation knowledge, trouble shooting, failure analysis (RCA), Lonza processes, education, software skills, and prior experience. A senior technician is expected to be able to provide instructions as a trainer to assist junior technicians with their training requirements. The focus at this level should shift to team development and process improvement methodology.
*Scheduled hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on rotating weeks:
Week 1 - Thursday - Saturday
Week 2 - Wednesday - Saturday
Overtime pay and annual bonus opportunity are available.
Key Responsibilities:
Description: Provide technical expertise for reactive maintenance activities and act as the interface between maintenance departments and plant engineering in ongoing equipment remediation efforts.
Accountable to maintenance supervisor to generate deviations and lead Quality investigations.
Collaborate with Engineering to initiate and execute change controls.
Support internal/external customer requests by responding to audit needs and accountable with maintenance supervisor to ensure department is audit ready at all times.
Contribute to implementation and integration of department relevant capital improvement projects.
Accountable with maintenance supervisor for department adherence to governing quality SOPs and guides the development of relevant quality standards.
Own and edit documentation pertaining to department operation and compliance.
Provide SME input on applicable automation systems to include BAS and DeltaV and oversee department utilization and compliance.
Key Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Strong English communication skills; reading, writing, speaking.
Ability to commit to scheduled work shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
ISA Level 1.
10+ years' experience in Calibration, Metrology, Instrumentation or related field.
Advanced electronic knowledge.
Advanced communication protocol knowledge.
Basic computer skills.
Experience creating new procedures.
Experience with cGMP documentation.
Ability to utilize hand tools.
Working knowledge of math, reading, and writing.
Basic mechanical knowledge.
Adept trainer.
