$65,600-$90,600 (prelim/clear credential); the salary range for an intern credential or emergency permit starts at $61,100.

Position Summary:
We are looking for exceptional educators to join our team! You are insatiably curious about how to motivate students to engage in learning through community building and rigorous, standards-aligned instruction. You integrate strategies for English Learners and students with disabilities seamlessly into your lessons. Above all, you are a patient optimist - you believe that every student is capable of graduating from college. This role reports to the school principal.
Responsibilities:

Build authentic relationships with students by serving as a mentor; consistently reinforce the belief that all students have the capacity to be successful through college.
Build authentic relationships with families through school events, phone calls and conferences.
Commit to equitable teaching and learning opportunities for all students with dedication to the success of students, their families, and the community.
Create a learning environment where students have ample opportunity to develop resilience, personal agency, and a commitment to their learning and their future.
Design and implement lesson plans that are aligned to standards and are scaffolded to students needs.
Facilitate students' mastery of academic standards through long-term planning, daily and weekly lesson plans, and execution of rigorous and engaging daily instruction.
Collaborate with ACE Learning Specialists to support a full-inclusion model of Special Education to the greatest extent possible.
Create a warm yet firm classroom culture through consistent implementation of behavior ladders.
Celebrate student growth, as well as proficiency.
Consistently integrate coaching feedback.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders.
Approach professional development (training, observations, coaching and feedback with commitment and reflection.
Education & Experience
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university, required.
Successful completion of the California Teaching Commission (CTC) Basic Skills Requirement and Subject Matter Competency Requirement.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university, required
Single Subject Prelim or Clear California Teaching Credential in Art/Music, preffered
or current/eligible enrollment in a CTC-approved program.
English Learner Authorization Certificate - CLAD/BCLAD or equivalent or current/eligible enrollment in a CTC-approved program required.
Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
