Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant - Sacramento Post Acute (Healthcare)
We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our dedicated team. As a COTA, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to implement comprehensive treatment plans aimed at helping our patients regain functional abilities and enhance their quality of life. Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to assess patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide hands-on assistance and instruction to patients in therapeutic activities designed to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive function.
- Guide patients in performing activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient care activities, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and promote continuity of services.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of California.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
