Laundry Aide (Personal Services)
Housekeeping/Laundry Aide Opportunity!
Full-Time, Flex Position
Primary Purpose:
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by providing housekeeping and laundry services for Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center and its residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces to meet health standards, using universal precautions.
- Launder, dry, fold, and deliver linens, maintaining clean and organized work and storage areas.
- Handle tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and moving furniture as needed.
- Report safety hazards, equipment needs, or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain and restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and soap.
- Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and residents' rights.
- Operate industrial washers, dryers, and other equipment, recording weights and following pre-programmed systems.
- Push/pull up to 250 pounds and lift 0–50 pounds regularly, with assistance for heavier loads.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to ensure cleanliness and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience; on-the-job training provided.
- Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, adapt to changing situations, and handle multiple tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet conditions, and potential pathogens.
- Shifts vary, including weekends and holidays.
Working Hours: Flex position and hours may vary from 5:00am - 10:00pm, based on business need. Must be able to work weekends/Holidays as scheduled.
Working Location: This is not a remote position and work must be performed in-person.
