Turf & Plantcare Specialist (Maintenance)
Work with management to create schedules and follow job specifications, including materials and timelines.
Organize, supervise, and train employees to complete projects within established quality guidelines and job timeframe.
Monitor the quality of work daily to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled in a manner that is in line with proper horticultural practices.
Develop a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each job and take action as needed.
Communicate budget hours as well as AM and PM procedures to assistants and crew members.
Comply with the equipment preventative maintenance program daily, ensuring assigned vehicle and equipment is in good working order.
Maintain safe working conditions on job site at all times; follow and implement all company safety guidelines and ensure crew members are doing the same.
Inspect each job site daily and maintain weekly punch lists given by Operations Manager while on site.
Identify ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality. Collaborate with Operations Manager and crew members to implement new strategies.
Maintain a positive relationship with Clients through regular communication and prompt response to Client's requests; follow up to make sure their needs have been met.
Keep Managers aware of all client concerns and communication on the job site.
Maintain a clear understanding of the philosophies by which the company operates, the short-and long-term goals for the company.
Attend and/or or conduct certification training sessions on a regular basis.
Daily responsibilities include, turf & ornamental fertilizer & pesticide applications, and completing all daily timesheets, managing PHC materials & equipment.
Safely transport Crew Members and other Green Acres employees to and from job sites.
Other duties as assigned.

Jobs in which contracts are renewed
Number of jobs completed in the budgeted hours
Development of assistants and crew members.
New sales, selling additional services, and maximizing on enhancement opportunities on every job site.
Interpreting results and advising with management on results and trends in the data.
Completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities that include production, record keeping and inventory management.
Thorough cooperation with other landscape management field managers and enhancement field mangers to see that the overall goals of the company are met.
Skills & Abilities Qualifications:
Technical knowledge including but not limited to plant ID, turf ID, insect and disease ID and diagnosis, pruning techniques, product application and mix rates, and industry specific machinery used for chemical, pesticide, and herbicide applications.
Must be a self-starter and perform daily under pressure.
Demonstrates dependability; consistently at work and on time, responds to management direction and commits to the required hours for job completion that will vary based on weather/season.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to solve conflict while keeping emotions under control.
Ability to plan and organize in a manner that uses time efficiently.
Has the aptitude to identify and act on opportunities to help and support work efforts of the team.
Excellent customer-service skills.
Can safely operate and maintain all equipment used for landscape maintenance.
Ability to identify and diagnose insect and disease problems and schedule appropriate treatment.
Working knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance and snow removal.
Valid State Driver's License with clean driving record over the last three years.
Environmental Considerations:
Works around hazardous equipment with moving mechanical parts.
Works outside in all weather conditions, including cold, heat, temperature swings.
Works around excessive noise from machines, requiring hearing protection.
May be exposed to nature, i.e. irritating plants and biting or stinging insects.
May be exposed to fumes/odors, dust/mites, chemical and/or waste hazards.
May be exposed to dogs and other animals.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability and endurance to perform tasks for at least 8-hour periods.
Must understand and demonstrate proper safety procedures, abiding by all OSHA regulations, with the ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
Must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
Must be able to wear PPE as necessary.
Must be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day.
