Maintenance Tech (Maintenance)
Primary Job Purpose: Advanced experience and knowledge in maintaining buildings in good repair as needed, therefore providing a safe, secure and pleasant environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
Customer Service: Adherence to the MOSES program to include Mission, Ownership, Success, Excellence, and Service.
Essential Job Functions:
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience: A high school education and/or occupational college diploma relating to at least 2 of the following areas: welding, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, carpentry and painting, and equipment installation. Or a minimum of one year's experience in the following areas: welding, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, carpentry and painting, and equipment installation in an institutional setting. Must be familiar with and able to use tools proficiently for above areas.
Non-Essential Job Functions: May participate in Eben Ezer committees. Will attend community meetings and department meetings as instructed.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Material and Equipment used but not limited to: Constantly uses a wide variety of hand tools and power tools to perform the essential functions of the position. Occasionally uses motorized vehicles such as: riding lawn mower, small tractor, and pickup. Occasionally uses basic office equipment.
Working Environment/Physical Activities: Employee is constantly required to work indoors and/or outdoors in various weather conditions, depending on type of work required. Is frequently exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, noise, and other hazards in the worksite area. Constantly walks and stands and frequently lifts, carries, pushes/pulls up to 250 pounds, including wheelchairs. Employee is subject to physically ill residents as well as hostile and emotionally upset residents and/or families.
Working Hours: Position is regularly scheduled Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and will include some weekend work. Employee may be required to report to work during an emergency situation. Position requires being on-call for emergencies. Schedule may vary, based on needs and supervisor discretion.
Working Location: This is not a remote position and work must be performed in-person.
