Entry Level Water Management Engineer (Finance)

Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Water Management Engineer, with knowledge of riverine and coastal modeling, to join our Water Management team and support flood resiliency projects nationwide. The position may be located in any of our US office locations, with a preference for New York City, Denver or San Francisco.

Role accountabilities:
As an Entry Level Water Management Engineer you will be responsible for developing computer models using simulation software to analyze various flow conditions and geographies. You will utilize GIS and MATLAB to manipulate bathymetry, topography, and other datasets to support project requirements. Collaborating with design teams, you will generate flooding, flow, and wave conditions necessary for design projects.
Additionally, you will play a key role in creating reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials, participating in client meetings to present findings and recommendations. Using digital tools like SharePoint and PowerBI, you will facilitate team and client collaboration, ensuring seamless communication and project progress. Some travel (up to 10%) may be required for client meetings, site visits, and team collaborations to further enhance your project involvement and professional growth.
Desired knowledge/experience:
Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to hydrology, hydrodynamics, and climate change is preferred. Some experience or exposure to modeling software's such as HEC-RAS, Delft3D, and MATLAB is helpful for this position. Prior experience or coursework in watershed hydrology, riverine flow, runoff and stormwater, green infrastructure, and climate resiliency is a plus.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $97,500. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
