Cornell Pump Company is seeking a full-time Pump Test Mechanic to work in our Testing Department in the Clackamas OR location.
The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00-$25.00 (DOE)

Summary Description: Pump equipment setup, review/execute basic test specifications, record results, and review with Test or Project Engineer. Light assembly of pumps will be required and will be asked to provide assembly support during peak volume times.
The perfect candidate will be able to perform these essential duties
Assists in the process of RMA evaluation and processing.
Computer abilities such as MS Office, ERP systems, create work orders, process RMA documentation.
Design and build test loops in preparation for pump testing
Setup pumps for performance testing
Examine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications with measuring tools such as dial indicator or calipers
Confers with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to design specifications and to review test plans
Activates controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject test item to successive steps in the test cycle
Monitors controls and instruments and records test data for engineer's review
Test Lab maintenance & improvement
Keeps machines and work area clean and free of debris.
Able to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and other lifting devices
Follow all safety precautions and practices safe working habits.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: 2 years minimum related Mechanical Experience
Preferred: 2 year degree or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD, Automotive Technology, or related field
Skills:
Mechanical ability, teamwork, and computer skills.
Experience in using tools like calipers, hydraulic templates, and other lab equipment.
Knowledge of safety practices and lifting device operation.
Able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting devices.
