Bartender- 192 at The Blake (Food Services)
Bartenders are responsible mixing, garnishing, and serving beverages according to recipes and guest tickets. Anticipating needs of the guests and responding politely to their requests are a must, all while maintaining the free spirit and enthusiasm of the adventurous mountain atmosphere.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Prioritize and perform multiple job functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, optimizing workflow to minimize ticket times.
Follow checklists and other guidelines for opening and closing duties.
Have a comprehensive understanding of and practice responsible alcohol service.
Provide recommendations and answer questions about food and drink items, including allergens and dietary information.
Demonstrate experience in handling complaints and resolving grievances to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain par and inventory levels and communicate product and supply needs to the restaurant manager or supervisor.
Complete bar prep list daily based on projected business levels.
Operate a high-volume point of sale register.
Prepare beverage items according to standard recipes and as specified on the guest check to ensure consistency of product.
Keep all refrigeration, equipment, and work areas in clean, sanitary working condition to comply with health department regulations.
Follow recipes and portion sizes correctly to maintain ideal bar cost and minimize waste.
Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by management.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Knowledge
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire.
Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handler Certificationupon hire.Minimum 1 years experience in a high-volume bar preferred.Ambition to grow and cultivate into a higher position.Working knowledge of the fundamentals of bartending.Ability to read and employ math skills to follow recipesAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and guests.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions.
Physical Demands of Position Include:
Will often lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Occasionally sitting, less than 15% of the time.
Background Check
Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving, or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
