Associate Vice President of Operations (Project Management)
Thinks, communicates, and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions.
Serves as executive director of assigned location(s) or program and supervises other directors to ensure sound operations. Provides leadership and direction to the Centers and programs by coaching team members and by providing overall direction to the branch boards and volunteers. Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.
For assigned locations and/or programs (directly or through others), responsible for:
developing and directing high-quality relationship-based member and participant engagement strategies;
communicating the benefits and impact of the Y's efforts for all community stakeholders;
leading the development of board, staff, and volunteers so that the Y has the human and financial capital to meet community needs;
working with community to develop and maintain a culture of philanthropy surrounding the Y;
building and nurturing key strategic partner and individual relationships to enhance support of the Y; involving members and community in the development of programs and activities;
and ensuring execution of plans in assigned locations in a manner which is consistent with our beliefs, including inclusivity, financial responsibility, and a culture of coaching.
Evaluates and creates action plans in response to monthly financial reports to ensure that revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled.
Assists Executive Directors with their budget process, annual operational goals, and strategic plan implementation.
Builds, promotes and supports strategies to grow impact through philanthropy (including Annual campaign), membership development, and key programs.
Responsible for growing and developing cause-driven leaders through a culture of accountability while meeting coaching and professional development plans for all district employees.
Provides staff with ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk. Requires staff to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk. Responds quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization's progressive disciplinary procedures. Responds seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Follows mandated reporting requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises Executive directors and assigned department directors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Association's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; developing, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
