The iconic Hotel del Coronadois looking for a Fitness Instructor to join th e team ! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion , the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 7 50 rooms , cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of personal training experience, experience leading group classes that range from 5-30 people, and is certified in Personal Training along with another fitness/nutrition modality.

Classification: Part-Time (Can be 1 - 5 days a week)

Shift: Various (Classes are in 2-hour shifts, can be AM or PM shifts) - must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The pay range for this role is $40.50 - $45.00 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?
As a Fitness Instructor, you would be responsible for teaching and facilitating fitness classes offered to members and guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Provide, teach and facilitate individual and group exercise instruction and workouts for members and guests
• Ensure safe exercise practice through observation, correction, assistance and answering questions
• Ensure current knowledge of exercise techniques and trends
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, as needed
• Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Maintain cleanliness of work area including, but not limited to, the facility, locker rooms, studios, machines and equipment in accordance with federal, state, local and company standards
• Assist in monitoring facility use to ensure guest safety
• Perform general Fitness duties, as needed
