Steel Erection Superintendent (Construction)

Position Summary
The Superintendent is the Company's representative assigned the responsibility and authority for daily coordination and direction of the project so that it is safe, within budget, on schedule, to the Company's quality standards, and to the customer's satisfaction. To accomplish this, he/she must conceptualize a plan of how to construct the project that meets the clients goals and must ensure that the daily and weekly activities are consistent with this plan.

The Superintendent will assist in developing the temporary bracing and erection plans along with developing lift/pick plans and equipment selection. The Superintendent will work with the Project Manager to ensure plans and equipment are within the project budget. The Superintendent will assist in selecting the erection crews and provide daily support to the crafts and project trade partners. Structural Steel Superintendent is responsible for the daily health and well-being of the project including schedule, cost, safety, quality and customer relationships. They must have a good understanding of structural steel processes on commercial projects. Must have a good understanding of erection requirements and procedures to be able to direct craftsperson on procedures of material rigging, bracing and general erection of structural and miscellaneous steel.
