Transportation Associate (Engineering)

Position Summary
The Transportation Associate/Driver is a key member of the Transportation and Security Team, responsible for the safe, secure, and compliant delivery of wholesale inventory to dispensaries across Florida. This role also supports security operations, ensuring the safety of products, staff, and facilities in alignment with Florida regulations. The position is non-armed and requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and compliance.

Responsibilities & Duties

Load delivery vehicles and ensure compliant transportation of products to vendors daily.
Authorize and monitor facility door access.
Monitor facility cameras, alarm systems, and daily operations to identify and respond to internal and external threats, including theft, violence, fire, or accidents; escalate to management and emergency services as needed.
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including unpacking, distributing shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
Ensure clear, accurate and compliant documentation of delivery manifests and incident reports using standard forms.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure facility safety and security.
Provide security escorts as needed.
Engage professionally with department managers, employees, vendors, and drivers, escalating issues to management when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong commitment to safe driving practices.
Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and trustworthy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to pass a background check as required by state regulations.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
Capable of driving for a full shift (up to 10 hours).
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Visual acuity for screen viewing and reading fine print.
Manual dexterity for data entry and handling materials.

Workplace Environment

Warehouse and office setting with fluorescent lighting and no windows.
Moderate noise levels due to HVAC systems and machinery.
Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions (sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, snow).
Frequent exposure to cannabis odor and occasional exposure to product dust.
