AV Multimedia Technician (Creative Design)
The Multimedia Technician will work on the IT Events Team and specialize and support the Bank's multimedia needs and in-room support for collaboration technology and customer service requests. They will work with Cisco, Crestron, and Microsoft Teams Rooms environments, and will support Webex, Zoom, and Teams meetings. They will work both solo and with team members to support a variety of live events and hybrid meetings throughout the Bank, with a sharp focus on customer service and hospitality.
Support can include helping Bank staff plan, join, execute, and produce meetings of varying sizes both onsite and hybrid. Support may include setup and tear down of equipment, and it may include slides, camara, and audio work while the meeting is underway. Additionally, this person will work with their team lead on AV room upgrades, configuring, and installing new AV equipment while patching and supporting existing equipment.

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are expected to be in the office a minimum of 4 days per week for meetings and team collaboration, unless directed otherwise by your supervisor.
Based on the candidate pool and the needs of the position, this position may be filled at either the Associate or the Experienced level. The formal job title for this position is Operations Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Maintain up-to-date awareness of multimedia equipment and platforms; as well as video collaboration software to support existing equipment and source new multimedia equipment that meets building and technical infrastructure requirements.
Collaborate with System Information Technology (IT), Bank IT and Bank building infrastructure staff to maintain a standard catalog of approved multimedia equipment that meets building and technical infrastructure requirements.
Work with internal customers, building infrastructure staff, IT staff and vendors to design and implement multimedia solutions for Bank spaces including offices, meeting rooms and common spaces, as well as remote work locations.
Develop, organize, and maintain standard operational procedures and workflow processes and procedures for multimedia systems.
Setup, monitor, test, maintain and troubleshoot Bank multimedia systems.
Perform technical programming of industry equipment to integrate into new and existing equipment and technical systems, including modifying existing vendor code.
Participate in cross functional planning and support meetings with a special emphasis on assisting internal customers in determining the best technology solution (equipment and software) for in-person and hybrid events.
Support Bank in-person and hybrid events by training users, assisting users, and operating equipment as needed to ensure appropriate quality.
Respond to multimedia problems: handle issues using pre-existing procedures and those requiring intermediate level understanding of existing equipment; escalate technical issues to building infrastructure staff, IT staff and vendors as needed; find long-term solutions for repetitive issues.
Serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
Provide occasional weekend and after-hours event support both onsite and at specific locations with advanced notice as needed.
Present workable solutions to solve problems under pressure while live events are underway.
Monitor live events and ensure a high level of audio and video quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field of technology and four (4) years of hands-on full-time related technical support or multimedia technology experience in: installing, troubleshooting and repairing AV hardware, software, mobile video carts, video-conferencing systems, and supporting operating systems and the MS Office desktop suite OR
Associate degree in a related field of technology and six (6) years of hands-on full-time related technical support or multimedia technology experience in: installing, troubleshooting and repairing AV hardware, software, mobile video carts, video-conferencing systems, and supporting operating systems and the MS Office desktop suite.
Experience with server technologies related to video, audio, and digital signage.
Experience in determining, evaluating, and diagnosing intermediate multimedia related connection issues and performance problems.
Hands-on technical experience and knowledge of collaboration software (Teams, Webex, Zoom)
Proven experience in working collaboratively and independently with limited supervision and direction.
Ability to adapt technologies to meet changing business processes and environments.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships across the Federal Reserve System and the Bank and balance multiple stakeholder interests to influence and shape solutions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
In addition to meeting the above required qualifications, the following are desired:
Multiple Unified Communications platforms operational knowledge (Cisco UCM, Webex, MS Teams, Zoom).
Broad knowledge of AV infrastructure, with strong understanding of the relationship between audio, video, telecommunications technology components and software including: MCU, cisco codecs, microphones, AV amplifiers, scalars, multiplexers, splitters, cable standards and other audio-visual technologies.
Crestron training and certifications preferred.
Audio-visual video conferencing certification, such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential or equivalent preferred.

Full Salary Range for Operations Engineer, Associate: $64,200- $80,300- $96,400
Full Salary Range for Operations Engineer, Experienced: $83,700- $104,668 - $125,600
