Job Summary:
As a Fitness and Nutrition Advisor, you will be integral in assisting patients to obtain optimal health by assessing patient's current wellness, providing individualized consultation, developing nutrition and activity programs, and coordinating patient's nutritional care with the medical provider. Your role is pivotal in maintaining high patient satisfaction through the delivery of exceptional service.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide safe, comprehensive, empowering, and professional Nutrition and Fitness Coaching.
- Coordinate patients plan of care with our providers as necessary to assist in achieving patient's health goals.
- Engage patients in Peak Medical Clinic's services, nutrition programs, and supplements, ensuring they stay motivated to attain their personal health and fitness goals.
- Leads nutrition consultations and coaching sessions.
- Facilitate seminars & group nutrition / fitness events for patients.
- Develop and maintain a client base.
- Execute all duties and responsibilities within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems in accordance with standardized protocols.
- Deliver patient education, accompany patients to the front office for scheduling.
- Handle callbacks and respond to patient portal tasks and inquiries promptly.
- Attend and complete department and clinical meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Adhere to and enforce all HIPAA and OSHA compliance laws and regulations.
- Adhere to OnePeak Medical's policies and procedures, as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policies.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required in support of OnePeak Medical.
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to meet business needs, potentially traveling to other clinics.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
- At least 1 year of job-related experience in nutrition and/or fitness advising – Required.
- Current BLS and/or CPR/AED Certification – Required.
- 3 years of on-the-job experience in a related role, including coaching or education in group and 1:1 setting - Strongly preferred.
- Accredited bachelor's degree in dietetics or a similar major – Strongly preferred.
- A master's degree is required for licensing as a nutritionist – Preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Move supplies up to 25 lbs
- Lift equipment up to 25 lbs
- Standing and walking 30% of time
- Typing and sitting 70% of time
